• 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 1/3 cup butter milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs


1. In a large Bowl mix in all your dry ingredients. **flour,sugars,salt,cinnamon,baking soda**

2. In a separate bowl mix in all your wet ingredients. **Bananas,oil,buttermilk,eggs and vanilla essence**

**If you don’t have buttermilk,mix in one part sour cream with one part milk.Another way is to mix in a teaspoon of lemon juice into one cup milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.Also you can water down natural yoghurt and use it for this recipe**

3. Gently mix in your wet Ingredients into your dry ingredients until consistent and no dry ingredients are visible.Do not over mix

4. Put this in a preheated oven any 165 degrees Celsius and bake for 65 minutes,or until a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean.Take it out when done

5. Let it cool down for 10 to 15 minutes in the tin then take it out of the tin,this will help it not fall apart.
